Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat, threatening the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Effective antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) is crucial for optimizing antibiotic use. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the AMR crisis, necessitating an antibiotic dashboard. A UK study examined antibiotic usage in acute care settings, revealing prevalent AMS strategies, effective interventions, and the pandemic’s impact. An innovative antibiotic dashboard was introduced, featuring dynamic sections for initial and pathogen-directed therapies. This dashboard provides essential metrics for real-time decision-making during health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.
