A unique opportunity for 25 companies from the EU, USA and the rest of the world to visit three of UK’s AMR hotspots in one week, meet with established AMR companies and hold coordinated 1:1 partnering sessions.
Boosting international collaboration
The overall aim of the UK AMR Inward Mission 2024 is to help the global curbing of Antimicrobial resistance (‘AMR’) by boosting international collaboration and joint innovation with UK businesses. The physical mission will also reinforce collaborations between participating UK and overseas companies themselves.
Getting to know UK’s unique AMR Ecosystem
The objectives of the inward AMR Innovation Mission UK 2024 include:
- Learn about 3 of UK’s AMR hotspots and AMR Ecosystem in the UK
- Partner with delegates from the UK, EU and Rest of the World
- Initiate AMR collaborations: diagnostics, antimicrobials, and preventives markets

The programme offers key note lectures, matchmaking sessions, company visits, showcasing AMR and extensive networking opportunities with key stakeholders across three clusters with the best UK AMR has to offer:
Glasgow’s Health and Life Sciences Cluster (covering Scotland and Northern Ireland)
Alderley Park Biotech and Life Sciences cluster near Manchester (covering North of England area)
Cambridge Biomedical Campus (covering Golden Triangle London / Oxford / Cambridge & south England)
The mission falls under the responsibility of Innovate UK and is organised in cooperation with Innovate UK EDGE and AMR Insights BV.
