The study evaluated the prevalence of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) infections and their antimicrobial susceptibilities in a tertiary hospital in Makkah City, KSA, between 2019 and 2020. Results showed a 35.5% lab prevalence in 2019 and 44.8% in 2020. MRSA susceptibility against antimicrobial agents in 2019 was 100% vancomycin, linezolid, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, and doxycycline. In 2020, MRSA susceptibility was 100% vancomycin, linezolid, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, and doxycycline. No significant difference in incidence or antimicrobial resistance rates was found.
