  28 March 2024

ReAct Africa, in partnership with LifeArc, has launched the “ASPIRE” Antibiotic Stewardship Programme through Innovation, Research, and Education. The US$1.5M 3-year project aims to transform antibiotic use in Zambia and Kenya by integrating digital solutions with targeted interventions. The initiative aims to empower healthcare professionals to make robust decisions on antibiotic prescriptions, reducing the risk of 1,27 million deaths annually due to antibiotic resistance. The project includes targeted research, digital tools, comprehensive patient education, collaborative engagement, and strategic partnerships. The initiative aims to establish a sustainable model for antibiotic stewardship in low- and middle-income countries.
