Rapid and Precise Treatment Selection for Antimicrobial-resistant Infection Enabled by a Nano-dilution SlipChip
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat, with bacterial infections being a leading cause of death. Current methods are inefficient, leading to mistreatment. A nano-dilution SlipChip (nd-SlipChip) method was developed to address this issue. It allows for rapid assessment of antibiotics, combinations, and phage therapy. The method was tested on 24 clinical isolates, identifying effective therapies and facilitating timely treatment selection.
