FDA Awards Funds for Three Projects to Collect, Analyze and Report Data on Antimicrobial Use in Animals
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is funding three projects to collect, analyze, and report data on antimicrobial use (AMU) in animals. The cooperative agreement provides $200,000 for FY 2024, with potential for continued funding for up to four additional years. The projects include Mindwalk Consulting Group’s expansion of an on-farm quantitative AMU data collection system, Cornell University’s development of an AMU monitoring system, and Kansas State University’s dashboard illustrating AMU data trends.
