APHIS Seeks Partners to Develop Antimicrobial Resistance Dashboards to Protect Animal and Public Health
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is seeking partners to develop antimicrobial resistance (AMR) dashboards for the second year in a row. The initiative aims to provide critical data to address AMR, a growing global health threat. APHIS will provide up to $3 million for these efforts in 2024. Eligible partners include state departments of agriculture, tribal entities, state animal health officials, nonprofits, institutions of higher education, livestock, poultry, or aquaculture producer organizations, and veterinary organizations. The dashboards will provide insights into AMR trends in domesticated animals, enabling informed decision-making and targeted interventions.
