APHIS provides financing for the creation of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) dashboards through public-private collaborations. These dashboards offer vital information to combat AMR and aid in defending humans and animals against this expanding danger to world health.
Priority subjects that enhance knowledge of AMR in domesticated animals, such as companion animals, cattle, and poultry, are supported by funded initiatives. By using this data, we may track changes in AMR patterns, identify new resistance profiles, and get a better understanding of the connections between AMR and the use of antibiotics and animal health management techniques.
