AMRColab – a user-friendly antimicrobial resistance detection and visualization tool

  24 October 2024

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat, with millions of deaths expected by 2050. To combat this, AMRColab, an open-access bioinformatics analysis suite, was developed. It allows users with limited bioinformatics skills to detect and visualize AMR determinants in pathogen genomes. AMRColab’s user-friendly interface and modular design make it accessible to a diverse audience, including medical technologists, doctors, and public health scientists. Future improvements include enhanced visualization tools, multilingual support, and an online community platform.
