AMR Stewardship Prize
The AMR Industry Alliance launched its inaugural Stewardship Prize, which aims to recognize innovative, scalable approaches to AMR stewardship in low- and middle-income countries. Applicants should have an established AMR program aligned with national AMR and diagnostic stewardship efforts, policies or plans. Further criteria and details are available on the Alliance’s webpage linked here. The prize winner will be featured on the AMR Industry Alliance website and throughout its network and associated events.
As a leading voice in the fight against AMR, the AMR Industry Alliance is a coalition of life-sciences industries that was established to provide sustainable solutions to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The AMR Industry Alliance currently includes over 100 biotech, diagnostics, generics, and research-based pharmaceutical companies and associations. Through its members, the AMR Industry Alliance drives the life-sciences industry to curb AMR across four different pillars: (i) appropriate use of antibiotics to reduce the development of AMR with the support of vaccines and diagnostics; (ii) access to quality antibiotics and ensuring new ones are available to all, while improving and accelerating access to diagnostics in low- and middle-income countries; (iii) mitigating the environmental impact of manufacturing; and (iv) investing in research and science to meet public health needs with new innovative diagnostics and treatments.
