International One Health Stakeholder Meeting on Antifungal Resistance

Join the Fight Against Antifungal Resistance with a One Health Approach

Collaborating for Sustainable Solutions to Azole Resistance

Antifungal resistance (AFR) in Aspergillus fumigatus is a rapidly growing global health threat, impacting human, animal, and environmental health alike. This exclusive 2-day meeting unites leading experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from across sectors to confront AFR and chart a clear path forward. By adopting a One Health approach, we aim to address the multifaceted challenges of AFR, such as the use of dual-purpose fungicides, inadequate surveillance, and the urgent need for sustainable innovation.

Developing an Actionable Road Map
At the heart of this meeting is the creation of a comprehensive and actionable AFR Road Map—a strategic guide designed to:

  • Strengthen global surveillance systems for AFR.
  • Promote sustainable fungicide practices to mitigate azole resistance.
  • Accelerate innovation in antifungal diagnostics and treatment.
  • Build cross-sectoral collaborations to ensure implementation and scalability.

This road map will serve as a cornerstone for coordinated efforts, providing practical and impactful solutions to curb antifungal resistance at the global level.
