Latest research identifies true danger of antimicrobial resistance in Australian kids
The Australian Group on Antimicrobial Resistance (AGAR) is a partnership of physicians and scientists from major microbiology laboratories around Australia. AGAR collects data from both metropolitan and rural areas, as well as private and public places.
AGAR undertakes targeted monitoring of chosen bacteria that cause bloodstream infections and collects demographic, treatment, and outcome data, as well as antimicrobial resistance (AMR) rates. AGAR is an essential part of the Antimicrobial Use and Resistance (AURA) surveillance program.
