In silico-designed antimicrobial peptide targeting MRSA and E. coli with antibacterial and antibiofilm actions

Antibiotic resistance is a global health issue caused by overuse and misuse of antibiotics. A synthetic antimicrobial peptide (AMP) was identified and tested for antibacterial and antibiofilm activities against MRSA and E. coli. The AMP demonstrated robust efficacy against these bacteria, with no cytotoxicity or hemolytic activity. This suggests AMP as a viable alternative antibacterial agent, demonstrating its potential to combat antibiotic resistance effectively.
