Meaningful engagement of patients, survivors and carers in addressing antimicrobial resistance

The WHO Taskforce of AMR Survivors has prepared a document to guide technical experts and policy-makers in identifying opportunities for meaningful engagement of patients and the public in antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The document emphasizes the importance of patients’ experiences and diverse perspectives in developing people- and patient-centered solutions. It aims to humanize the current AMR narrative, ensuring interventions consider cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic factors. The document aims to advance international, national, and local AMR agendas by elevating the voices of those with complications from drug-resistant infections.
