2023 Antibacterial agents in clinical and preclinical development: an overview and analysis

The World Health Organization’s 2023 Antibacterial agents in clinical and preclinical development report evaluates the pipeline of traditional and non-traditional antibacterial agents worldwide. The report assesses their effectiveness in addressing infections caused by priority pathogens and evaluates their innovation criteria. The report also provides an overview of agents authorized since July 2017. The report focuses on the potential for clinical utility and differentiation for each type of antibacterial.
